Help local honeybees by bringing them to your backyard
Make an impact through our hive hosting program
Become a part of something bigger. Honeybees work with native pollinators to pollinate not only the fruit and vegetable crops that feed us, but a mix of native plant species that are essential to our local ecosystems. Increasing the number of honeybees improves pollinations, creating healthier food systems that offer nutritional diversity and security.
A FEW REQUIREMENTS AND OR REQUESTS
The location where we will place our hives is very important and will play a major role in the quantity and quality of the honey that is produced. We take into account elevation, drainage, available forage, nearby water sources and animal pressure. We want what is best for our bees so that they can thrive. We install, mange and maintain the hives, doing all the work.
Colonies where known pesticides or commercial agricultural practices are not a candidate for our hives. Hives will not be hosted in neighborhoods or HOAs.
We generally require a minimum of 4 colonies be hosted. Access to the hives is required at all times as inspections may occur every 2 weeks or as required. A signed waiver is required and more information will be provided to those selected candidates.
